TAPSE (tricuspid annular plane systolic excitation) measured on ecocardiografía quantifies right ventricular systolic function, with Z-scores adjusted for edad and superficie corporal in pediátrico patients. Reduced TAPSE indicates right ventricular systolic dysfunction, guiding assessment of pulmonary hipertensión severity and response to therapy. Use this tool when analyzing echocardiographic studies in niños to quantify RV function and assess for pulmonary hipertensión or RV dysfunction.
