PSC-17 — Pediatric Symptom Checklist
17-item parent-report screening for psychosocial functioning with internalizing, externalizing, and attention subscales.
The PSC-17 (Pediatric Symptom Checklist-17) is a validated screening tool for pediatric behavioral and emotional problems in children ages 6-16 years, enabling primary care providers to identify children at risk for mental health disorders. This brief parent-completed questionnaire identifies children with psychosocial dysfunction who may benefit from further assessment and mental health referral. Use this tool at well-child visits or when behavioral concerns arise to screen for emotional and behavioral problems and guide referral decisions.
